The nitro switch crate is just past the pit that leads to the secret area, and that area is much easier if the player hits the nitro switch crate and then goes back to enter the secret area.Īfter the last tunnel, the final chase involves riding Polar at a speed higher than usual. By doing this, he will come across a new section of the level that includes additional crates and new enemies. In one point of the level, Crash can find a secret route by jumping into a pit that the giant polar bear falls into. The tunnels will render the polar bear immobile, but Crash will usually come across a different polar bear waiting at the end of the tunnel. In certain parts of this level, Crash will come across large tunnels that will protect him from the giant polar bear. Most of these obstacles will leave the giant bear unscathed, so they will only remain as a threat for Crash. While running away from the bear, Crash must watch out for various pits and obstacles. The vicious polar bear will chase Crash throughout the level, in which he must avoid the ferocious beast at all costs. In this level, Crash will be constantly pursued by a giant polar bear. The thing that makes this so confusing is that the secret passage isn’t in Snow Go at all it’s actually in Air Crash, which is on the second floor of the Warp Room. Sane Trilogy, they moved it out of reach so you have to play fair and use the secret passage. Note that in the original Crash Bandicoot 2, you could actually perform a slide jump move to get this Red Gem, even though that was technically cheating. You can even see the Red Gem in the second section of Snow Go you just can’t get to it. Sane Trilogy, this is hinted at in the level’s loading screen. To get the Red Gem in Snow Go, you must find a secret passage. This time, there’s a bit more variety in the way these gems are handled. For example, to get the Red Gem in the first game, you had to break every box in Slippery Climb without dying.
